A Call Can Make Your Day....

Have you ever gotten a phone call that brightened your day or made you feel better in any way? I just got one a little while ago. It was from a constituent that had a problem from years back that he wanted me to help him with earlier this year. I did, and knew the outcome was going to go his way, but never found out if the problem was actually solved. Well, he informed me that it had been taken care of, and he was really happy and excited about it. I was too! After several years, he was able to get his drivers license back. That may seem like a small deal to some, but to him it was a life changing event. I'm happy I was able to make a difference in his life.

In the last two years I have received many requests for help in fixing a personal problem or help with an agency dispute or misunderstanding. That part of being your representative is my favorite part. Sometimes people feel that going up against a state agency is a little too intimidating, or the agency is not doing their job, or maybe they just don't know where they need to go. Either way, I am always happy to see what I can do. I have had a couple get lost in the shuffle and picked up again, and there have been a few that I couldn't help at all but it wasn't for lack of trying. I take every request as far as I can and hopefully that means the finish line. So, if you have a problem at the state level please feel free to ask for my help. It is part of the job, and maybe you will be the next call making my day brighter. Take care this weekend and God bless you.
